Request Account Deletion

If you would like us to delete your Avessia account and associated personal information, you can request deletion using the process below.

Your options

You can request account deletion in either of these ways:

If you are signed in, you may be able to request deletion directly in the Avessia app through the Profile settings area.

Email us at support@avessia.app with the subject line Account Deletion Request.

Please send the request from, or include, the email address associated with your Avessia account.

How the process works

  1. You send us a deletion request.
  2. We send a verification email to the email address associated with the account.
  3. You confirm that you want the account deleted.
  4. Once confirmed, we will process deletion of your account and associated personal information, subject to the limited retention described below.

We may ask for additional information if reasonably necessary to verify that the request is being made by the account holder or an authorised person.

What we will delete

Once your deletion request has been verified and processed, we will delete or de-identify personal information associated with your Avessia account, including, where applicable:

  • your account profile information
  • your sign-in identifiers associated with your Avessia account
  • your selected concern preferences and account settings
  • images you submitted for scanning
  • extracted ingredient text associated with your account
  • scan results associated with your account
  • Shelf items, including saved product names, categories, notes, and thumbnails or photos you chose to save
  • support messages and correspondence linked to your account, unless we need to retain them for a legitimate reason described below

What we may retain

In some circumstances, we may retain limited information where reasonably necessary for legitimate business, legal, security, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, or regulatory purposes.

This may include, where applicable:

  • a minimal internal record that your account was deleted
  • internal user or account reference identifiers needed to maintain the deletion record or prevent accidental account restoration
  • limited server, security, or audit logs for a restricted period, which may include IP address information
  • records relating to subscription, billing, refunds, chargebacks, fraud prevention, or accounting obligations
  • records we are required or permitted to keep by law

We do not retain your account simply because you requested deletion. Any retained information will be limited to what we reasonably need for the purposes above.

Subscriptions and billing

Deleting your Avessia account does not automatically cancel a subscription purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play.

If you subscribed through an app store, you should also manage or cancel your subscription directly through that store account.

Depending on your platform and billing status, limited transaction or entitlement records may still need to be retained for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or legal compliance.

Timing

We aim to process verified deletion requests within a reasonable period after confirmation.

If there is a delay, or if we need additional information to verify the request, we will let you know.

Important note

If you delete your Avessia account:

  • you may lose access to saved scans and Shelf items
  • you may lose access to account settings and preferences
  • the process may be irreversible once completed
